A quick update. As noted more than a week back, I’ve been working on a blog entry on the use of directional WiFi in mobbing to create interference for purposes of harassment and even harm. It’s one of a slew of techniques that make clear mobbing is a criminal endeavor.
The stay-at-home mandate coupled with a stretch of great weather, has given the mobbers on either side of my northwest Seattle home an opportunity to “amp” up the harassment into my home, even as the site statistics for On being mobbed indicate an increase in interest. And with the good spring weather, the tactical field encompasses the outdoors as much as the indoors.
The owner of the mobbing house to the north once used what was probably a smart speaker to tell me how easy it would be to set up a generator near my bedroom window to give me carbon-monoxide poisoning. The owner of the house to the south routinely positions his meat smoker within a couple yards of my dining room windows that look out toward Lake Washington, operating it for hours at a time. In addition to making it unpleasant to be inside, this technique is one of numerous that are intended to compel the victim of mobbing to close his windows, which then makes them available to receive acoustic leakage harassment that is likely transported via infrasound. These of course, are techniques that can be difficult to complain to police about. However, there are other techniques that can be more easily substantiated.
A reader recently wrote me and said that he believed that those who take up this kind of criminal harassment “point powered transmitters” at their victims. Perhaps he meant a transmitter like the Yagi WiFi antenna, a device considered a “gateway” tool for hacking wireless networks that can be used to divert rogue sound onto the television of a victim house from a parked car. I have reason to believe that one of the tools they use to disrupt household communications and entertainment is the walkie-talkie; these might have figured in the harassment on my Roku and television last night. The use of powered transmitters would not surprise me since, as I recently mentioned, there can be a decided electrical feel to the harassment some nights when it is increasingly aggressive. I haven’t been sure if it’s because of household electrical current that somehow becomes involved, the mode of wireless connectivity, or what. If these people could, they’d probably use a cattle prod. It’s as though I’m living between Josef Mengele and Herman Pook.
That’s what the harassment felt like tonight when I turned on the evening news and the owner of the north mobbing house was in his back yard, not far from my living room windows, with one or two others. This kind of harassment can be felt in the chest, a fact which makes me wonder what would happen if these crooks wanted the property of someone who used a pacemaker. There was an acrid smell and a rushing sound that sounded like the gas jets of a grill on high. The sound could also have been a windmill that’s been positioned very near the fence and facing the exterior walls of my bedroom as of late—all the better to move air and sound over to my windows.
I’m mentioning it now because I hope that some people are beginning to look at this blog with the understanding that the systematic physical harassment that is being described here, and that others have undoubtedly tried to describe, is real. The failure to understand that stands in the way of investigating and stopping this predatory, tech-enabled crime that seems to include anything and everything from baldfaced intimidation and civil harassment to smart speakers, cyber-stalking, harassment over ventilation systems and IoT abuse. Did the real estate agents who made veiled threats to my landlords and brokered the deals that put the mobbers into place around me know that I would be assaulted on a nightly basis? Did the nasty neighborhood watch captain and her neighborhood watch friends? Do these people think it’s okay to torture those who rent their homes to turn over properties? I remember running into a representative from the Southern Poverty Law Center at a nearby grocery store and being told there were several hate groups in North Seattle. Is this one of them?
Those who do this, whether they use these methods of hate and terror to “clear” properties and then pressure “reluctant sellers” for shady developers or for themselves, whether they are neighborhood watch groups or vigilantes, have run amok. They use technologies in ways they are not meant to be used and may not be safely used. This makes those who ply such methods increasingly dangerous.
As for my post on directional WiFi, I was overly optimistic when I said I’d post it within a few days. I’ve got my hands full fighting off a pack of haters and finding a new job while, like the rest of you, I’m trying to survive a pandemic. With any luck, I’ll post at least a short entry on the use of directional WiFi in mobbing the weekend after this one.
