On being mobbed

The account of an ongoing bid to harass a legal tenant out of her Seattle neighborhood

“On being mobbed” on GoFundMe.com

[Note 11/11/23: I’m probably going to take down the GoFundMe page before or after the few donations are returned in December to those who kindly gave them. While hugely appreciated, the few donations cannot balance the risks of being accused of fraud ( “In a bid for bonbons and garden gnomes, woman makes up wild sob story of speculators harassing her out of her home”) by those who cover up felony crime with a blame-the-victim strategy.]

Given the latest mobbing violence in Albany, California, the apparent complicity of at least some in the City of Albany and the Albany Police, and the intensification of what is literally an assault in the wake of last week’s events, I’ve created a fundraiser on GoFundMe.com. The first goal of the fundraiser is legal fees. I need an attorney with an understanding of what’s appropriate to handle dealings with the administrator of my mother’s trust and to better understand her communications with those who continue in their attempt to force me out of my childhood home. And it may also be a good time to begin to make an inquiry into the role of the City of Albany and the Albany Police in this and other attempts to turn over properties in Albany by harm and with the use of dangerous scams. Funds raised in excess of those costs will help me to progress on some updates at the Albany house, beginning with infrastructure changes, like completing the transition from knob-and-tube electrical.

I hoped to do most of these improvements over time after the house was recorded in my name and I had the resources of a home owner, but it looks like mobbers bank on working to ensure the houses they want to take don’t pass to the designated beneficiary. Instead, it seems likely that they might threaten a trust with lawsuits, ply them with promises of partial proceeds from the sale of a house that would not benefit them otherwise, and then shift the responsibility for a sale that might be adjudged to violate trust terms to the trust administrator. I need someone to protect my interests.
