Women who are being mobbed in Seattle, and perhaps other places, should be extremely cautious when retaining male attorneys. In my experience in Seattle, male attorneys may be quick to act on their own gender bias. For women who are being bullied by men who defend themselves against women who report by claiming the women are delusional, hiring an attorney like the attorney I hired in Seattle may be catastrophic. In my case, the male attorney I hired, thinking that my retainer would ensure adequate representation, did not believe me. He even demanded me to answer the question: “Then why don’t they stop?”
Hmmm, let me think… Why don’t they stop? You’d think any decent attorney could find his own answer to that question. But I’ll give it a try: They didn’t stop because they had every reason to believe that male bias like yours would ensure that you believed them, and not the woman who retained you.
What kind of attorney asks his own client why a bunch of people involved in an organized crime whose prosecution should put them in prison don’t stop trying to make good on their bad deeds?
Women and mobbing victims beware. The acts of attorneys like this one are nothing but an assurance that, like Trump said, men can get away with doing whatever they want to a woman, especially in a bullying situation. Whatever they want is pretty much what they’ve been doing to me since.
