It’s another Fourth of July in Albany, California and the block coordinator, covering for the out-of-town lowlife this holiday week, put up her usual display of dime store patriotism this morning.
In this blog, I have by and large settled on a tactic of exposing the methodology of mobbing to make sense of it and to stop it. This has meant writing about the vulnerabilities mobbers exploit, like knob-and-tube wiring, below-grade foundations (not well enough developed yet), and WiFi. But, to help investigators and other victims recognize mobbing, I also note other patterns in the harassment. One of these is references that are religious.
There have been signs of religiosity throughout, often connected to an apparent attempt to shame the victim quietly out of her home. One of these is the oft-used admonition—almost word-for-word the same as what anti-choice harassers said to some doctors who were being harassed in San Francisco: “We know what you did.”
I am amazed that in my hometown next to Berkeley, California, block coordinators and others, especially those for whom religiosity must be no more than a pose, get away with battering women in their homes. Surely if their vitriol did not serve some predatory real estate scam, the thin veil of hypocrisy that protects these lowlife flag-wavers would be stripped away.
The mobbing into the house in Seattle started after the owners of the house on the north side, under water, sold and the house was empty for a short time before the north mobbing owner moved in. Across the street, the nasty neighborhood watch lady was in position. And to the south, though I have seldom mentioned it, a conservative Christian pastor family associated with a controversial Seattle megachurch also prepared to move. The now-defunct megachurch, known for peaching the evils of yoga and the submission of women, collapsed following a series of scandals. The founder was known for his ability to bring men like himself into the fold. From time to time in the mobbing, it has seemed like it is this kind of man who has also been brought to the mob.
